Job description
Position is located in Northeastern Missouri supporting the counties of: Schuyler, Adair, Macon, Scotland, Knox, Shelby, Clark, Lewis, and Marion
Essential Functions:
- Responds to requests to go on mobile outreaches within five minutes of receiving call from the contact center. Must reach the designated location of the client in crisis within 120 minutes from time of dispatch.
- Performs high quality clinical assessments with excellent customer service skills. Documentation is written in a proficient and professional manner. Uses sound clinical judgment to develop an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan to assist clients in establishing necessary mental health services including provisional diagnosis and thorough suicide risk assessment.
- Demonstrates proficiency in work habits and time management skills. Meets call center attendance and punctuality standards.
- Clinician will complete all necessary documentation and ensures documentation is received by BHR and PFH within specified timeframes.
- Committed to ongoing professional and educational development. Participates in individual and group supervision, BHR training, seminars, functions, and events.
- Consistently checks and monitors the location and environment of the face-to-face outreach to ensure personal safety of outreach team.
- Must work well individually and with co-workers as part of a team. Must be flexible with work hours and special requests from managers.
- Must own a properly insured, reliable vehicle. Must also be able to read and follow county street guides/directions and feel comfortable driving throughout the established counties of the Zone area they are assigned.
- Perform various other duties and functions as required or assigned within area of expertise or scope of the position.
Education, Experience, Competencies and Skills Required:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- General knowledge of the mental health network and the DSM-5.
- Minimum of six months to two years’ experience in mental health field within the private or public sector.
- Ability to write clinical documentation, conduct mental health assessments and develop client treatment plans.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Working knowledge of how to use the computer, basic word processing skills.
- Strong verbal, written. and interpersonal skills.
