Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Policy Officer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the Office of Corporate Operations (DXC) providing planning, policy, and business analysis support in the development of agency policies to ensure the agency complies with laws, regulations, higher-level guidance, and leadership objectives.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Review existing agency policies on a bimonthly basis for currency and to collaborate with stakeholders on required updates, and log and track internal and external issuances in DXCI’s current recordkeeping system on a daily basis.
  • Analyze internal agency documents, and external issuances to include IC or DoD policy, Executive Orders, Congressionally Directed Actions, and other doctrine.
  • Assist in the coordination of draft policies with identified agency stakeholders, and lead efforts to clarify, generate, and deconflict policy development.
  • Collaborate with agency stakeholders in developing proposed agency policy documents and identify policy impacts, conflicts, or gaps with existing agency policy based on new or revised external issuances.
  • Assist in the development of the annual agency Corporate Policy Workplan, draft and provide quarterly updates to the Authorities and Delegations Manuscript, respond to ad hoc or routine policy development, and follow mandated agency requirements on the records management process for the office.
  • Monitor open policy taskings for comments or requests for additional information, and collaborate with policy owners on adjudicating agency-wide responses within prescribed timeliness in support of the staffing process and task management system.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • At least 24 months demonstrated experience in reviewing and analyzing high-level governance documents (e.g., agency directives or instructions, statutes, Executive Orders, IC, DoD and Executive Branch guidelines).
  • At least 24 months demonstrated experience in disseminating agency-level policies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience within related field.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • At least 24 months demonstrated experience tracking and managing formal taskers.

Salary Range:

$79,100.00 - $138,400.00
