PMC, is hiring a Director, User Support to oversee the IT Support Services operations and functions across the organization. This is a key leadership position within the IT department. The Director, User Support is expected to work collaboratively with the IT Leadership Team and throughout PMC, particularly in providing VIP support. The closely-knit IT Support team focusing on support services for all essential IT functions for the company. We are seeking someone with independent judgment and common sense to work within a team distributed between NYC & LA.
As a team we keep over 1,300 end users operational every day. We work in a constantly evolving environment; the Director will learn and interact with new technologies. A service-oriented attitude and strong communication skills are essential. This position requires the ability to shift between in-person, phone, email, and remote computer administration as needed to support end-users in any of our offices around the world.
Day to Day
We are looking for a highly collaborative team player with a positive attitude and the drive to provide world-class customer service. Facilitate and oversee the technical support and helpdesk roles to ensure effective and helpful support is provided to end users
- Oversee and facilitate the installation and maintenance of IT systems, hardware and software
- Identify and recommend upgrades and changes to hardware and software, maintaining efficient and effective operations in the organization
- Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in information technology, alerting senior staff of the effects widespread software and hardware revisions, changes and discontinuation will have on the organizations systems and operations
- Coordinate and schedule large-scale software and hardware installation
- Ensure IT-related projects and tasks are completed within specifications, on time and within budget
Required Skills:
- Deadline driven, time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Thorough understanding of technology, software and hardware
Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience in an IT Supervisory and/or Management role
- A service-oriented attitude and strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with team members, sharing knowledge, and finding solutions
- Experience working with and supporting distributed teams
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a constantly evolving environment
- Ability to work well under pressure
Typical wage range: $130k - $160k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees. As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC’s paid healthcare plan, effective for this role July 1, 2023, the company will pay 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family.
