The Independently Licensed Clinician in the Plymouth Family Resource Center (PFRC) provides assessments for individuals and families who are struggling at school, in the community, and at home. They also facilitate groups and participate in PFRC events.

What You Will Doing to Make a Difference...

  • Complete all documentation in a timely manner
  • Accurate observation and progress documentation of service recipient behavior, performance and issues; note and report changes in service recipient's physical or emotional health.
  • Conduct intakes, assessments and group facilitation, including case management, in accordance with accepted professional standards
  • Document family support plans, interventions and clinical strategies using the guidance of assigned clinical supervisors
  • Support implementation of family support plans
  • Participate in meetings as required, both internal and external
  • Participate in all activities of PFRC
  • Participate in PFRC special events
  • Staff the program as scheduled
  • Provide supervision and support to interns and other staff
  • Work with children, adolescents, adults and elders representing varying ethnicities, cultures, and religions; educational level and socioeconomic status is also variable
  • Crisis intervention and referral to higher level of care as needed
Requirements:

Qualifications/Credentials

  • Master's degree in Mental Health or closely related field required
  • Able to maintain MA state professional license, completes required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for renewal such as Independent License in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling and/or Family and Marriage Therapy required
  • Minimum 5 years counseling experience; 3 years post-licensure experience
  • Must demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of clinical theory and practice
  • Knowledge, skills and supports to:
  • Identify needs of abused and neglected children and adults
  • Understand child development and individual and family functioning
  • Engage difficult to reach, traumatized, or disengaged individuals and families
  • Work with individuals with co-occurring, mental health and substance abuse conditions
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and services
