SUMMARY:

SNF Holding Company is looking for a Plant Operator in Marmet, WV facility. The Plant Operator is responsible for loading/unloading tank trucks and railcars via hose and pump operation throughout the tank farm. The Plant Operator is also responsible for the entire plant operation process while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient loading/unloading of rail cars and tank trucks.
  • Perform daily inspections of pipelines and valves.
  • Ensure that proper documentation is completed on all shipments.
  • Operate certified scales.
  • Complete all required safety training and monthly refresher training.
  • Ensure operations are performed under approved procedures and company policy.
  • Complete all paperwork associated with liquid bulk loading and transfers.
  • Assure the safety of all personnel in the area while conducting material transfers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment including but not limited to the following proper storage of tools, hoses, cleanliness of the work area, adequate wear of all personal protective equipment, and immediately containing and reporting any spills or unsafe conditions.
  • Attend weekly and monthly safety meetings.
  • Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere for all employees and visitors.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and near misses to the foreman or management.
  • Comply with all safety standards and rules, as set by management including selecting and using the correct personal protective equipment.
  • Assisting during routine maintenance and cleaning of the production equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Prior chemical manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety practices and techniques relating to chemical/power/industrial manufacturing/production is a PLUS.
  • Strong communication (verbal & written), and ability to motivate, prioritize, and organize in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to address issues, follow up, and implement solutions as required.
  • Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work from elevated platforms.
  • Must have a wide degree of creativity and work in a self-directed environment.
