Overview / Responsibilities

GIS currently has an opportunity for an Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Planner/Coordinator in the Corpus Christi area .

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing E&I and Construction work packs
• Interpreting engineering designs and documentation for input into work packs and estimates.
• Ensuring that all hazards associated with the work are addressed in the work packs
• Conduct quantity takeoffs for electrical and instrumentation. Review project plans/specifications to gain a complete understanding of the projects scope.
• Monitor all addendums, scope changes and breakouts to ensure they are incorporated into the estimate.
• Providing ongoing Construction support to the onsite construction & project management teams
• Liaising with onsite construction & project management teams regarding planning and preparation of activities, as required
• Coordinate the requisition of field materials as required
• Must be willing to travel to different areas of the United States to conduct site visit and support construction team if required.

Skills / Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• 1 to 5 years of applicable experience within the oil and gas industry or renewables sector, experience in developing Electrical/Instrumentation scopes of work and strong understanding of implementation principles
• Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting engineering and vendor drawings and documentation. Ability to understand and recognize potential problems during construction and commissioning
• Proven organizational, planning skills. Competency in the use of Word, Excel and Outlook
• Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved may also be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

• Corpus Christi, TX 78401: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• E&I: 1 year (Preferred)
• SAP APO or Planning: 1 year (Preferred)
