Children’s Hospital at Erlanger and the Erlanger Health System with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine are actively seeking an additional Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist to join our established division. We are very proud to be named a Top Children’s Hospital nationally by The Leapfrog Group for the second year in a row in 2022.

Highlights:

  • Full-time, employed opportunity to join an established and dedicated group of pediatric hematology/oncologists.
  • Staff of 20 that includes 6 oncology RNs plus a team of dedicated pediatric oncology pharmacists.
  • Inpatient and Outpatient service
  • Multidisciplinary tumor board, Survivorship clinic, comprehensive sickle cell and hemophilia clinics.
  • Inpatient attending and consult service are in 1 week blocks at a time.
  • Passion for teaching of medical students & Pediatric residents preferred.
  • Members of Children's Oncology Group.
  • Industry research trial participation.

About Children's Hospital at Erlanger:

Children's Hospital at Erlanger is licensed for 118 beds. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is designated Level IV by the state, providing the very highest level of care for premature or sick newborns. The Pediatric Trauma Team, Emergency Department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provide immediate, 24-hour-a-day care for critically ill or injured children. Erlanger LifeForce Air Ambulance and the Neonatal/Pediatric Ground Transport make the services of Children's Hospital quickly accessible to pediatric patients throughout our region. No other facility in our region offers these services.

The programs and departments at Children's Hospital include the emergency, trauma and intensive care services mentioned above, as well as cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, surgery and outpatient surgery, pediatric laboratory, medical genetics, comprehensive cancer and blood disorders, psychology, neurology, radiology, adolescent/young adult medicine, therapy services (audiology, physical and occupational and speech therapy), an Aerodigestive Clinic and Craniofacial Center.

Candidate Requirements

  • MD or DO required
  • Board certification or eligibility with the American Board of Pediatrics – Pediatric Hematology Oncology
  • Tennessee licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Tennessee
