As a Physician Assistant at Nystrom & Associates you will be an important part of a vibrant and dynamic outpatient mental health provider making important contributions to the mental health of our local communities. As part of our growth in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa, we are adding compassionate and collaborative Psychiatrists to the practice.

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is multidisciplinary Rule 29 Outpatient Mental Health and 245G Substance Use Disorder treatment clinic, providing integrative care that specializes in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are currently seeking a full time Physician Assistant for our New Brighton, Maple Grove, Otsego, Coon Rapids, or other surrounding Metro clinics (clinician would be placed at the clinic fitting their commute needs, and needs of the business). We are committed to collaboration and excellence in care and autonomy.

Our wrap-around services include: Outpatient Mental Health Therapy, Adult and Adolescent Substance Use Disorder Treatment, Psychological Testing, Neuropsychological testing, Community based skills programs of ARMHS and CTSS, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Adult Day Treatment (ADT) and Nutritional Counseling.

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychiatric diagnostic assessments, evaluate need for medications, and prescribe as indicated
• Makes urgent assessments of person in crisis, evaluating as appropriate
• Provide information with others involved in treatment planning
• Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings

Job Requirement

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Current active and unrestricted State of Minnesota License to practice as a physician assistant
• Knowledge of regulatory standards governing care delivery and operations
• Proficient in the use of computers; experience with Electronic Health Records is preferred
• Candidates with 1 year of experience post masters/doctorate degree are strongly preferred
