JOB SUMMARY

The Physician Assistant functions as a Sub-Investigator in support to the Division of Site Services in the provision of medical care and research assistance under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Research Unit Management. The PA is responsible for providing clinical evaluation of potential research subjects and providing continuous monitoring throughout the duration of clinical subject participation in trials under the guidance of the Principal Investigator.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• The position requires at least graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with registration
• Licensure in NY State
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with patients and Clinilabs staff in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the position
• Must have experience neurology experience and familiar working with epileptic patients.
• Preferred experience performing clinical procedures such as venipuncture, IV catheter insertion, etc.
• The PA must have analytical abilities sufficient to interpret patient examination results and possess national certification as a Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner as applicable.
• Clinical Trials experience preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
• PA-C (Preferred)
