Responsibilities
Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgement in patient management. The Therapists work closely with the patient, family & other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. Ther serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers, and other medical professionals. The physical therapist assists with department and program planning. We are seeking an individual that has hand therapy experience. This position will help to support the outpatient hand clinic, as well as the inpatient hand acute care hospital patients. Weekend rotation include supporting the general acute care hospital practice.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as a Physical Therapist. Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.
Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.
Also prefer active participation within professional organization. Current physical therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
