Summary:
The PT 1’s responsibility is to evaluate and treat patients, supervise support staff, and assist the PT 2, the Director of CRM, the CRM Medical Director, and satellite manager in any tasks they might need in compliance with federal and state mandates and SCOI practices. The PT 1 will assist in the training of support staff.

Qualifications
Incumbent must possess:
1. A valid California PT License in good standing
2. Previous experience treating in the outpatient orthopedic arena
3. Flexibility.
4. Willingness to assume duties as required

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Demonstrates good customer service skills.7. Manages difficult situations with patients and staff.8. Demonstrates flexibility in accommodating patients and staff.9. Maintains an open line of communication with patients, staff, managers, directors, and physicians. This is to include phones.10. Documents completely, legibly, and in a timely manner per policy.11. Demonstrates good problem solving skills.12. Makes decisions with SCOI’s and the patients’ best interests in mind.13. Maintains a safe area for patient and staff.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Evaluation of patients referred to the clinic.
2. Establish treatment plan of cares.
3. Treat using accepted treatment modalities and procedures geared to progressing patients toward meeting their functional goals.
4. Able to safely deliver treatment considering the physical requirements of the job.
5. Able to complete all documentation the day services are rendered.
6. Meets minimum productivity standards set by CRM.
7. Attend at least the minimum of continuing education requirements for licensure set forth by the California Physical Therapy Board.
8. Assure staffing meets the need of the schedule while maintaining appropriate ratios according to regulation.
9. Fulfill duties assigned by the Directors or Managers.
10. Acts as clinical instructor for PT students and is responsible for ensuring their field study objectives are met.
11. Markets the CRM to outside referral sources as needed.
12. Assists in clinical and administration decisions to best optimize clinic function.
13. Assures adherence to SCOI and CRM policy.
14. Assists in the training of clinical and support staff.
15. Able to complete tasks on the computer utilizing various software programs.
16. Maintain their Licensure as issued by the State of California.
17. Maintain in good standing with the Office of Inspector General and the California Board.
18. Maintain current CPR certification.
19. Other duties as assigned.
