What you will be doing:
The PCL Heavy Chore Aide is responsible for creating a clean and organized environment for our clients. The Heavy Chore Aide will declutter, organize and assist with maintaining cleanliness of the client’s home among various other tasks such as ensuring the safety of the home and living environment. This position will be able to provide in-home assessments and recommendations to Heavy Chore related conditions in a home.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for basic and deep cleaning of client home including heavy vacuuming / sanitizing carpets, hoarding projects, cleaning major appliances, all areas of a clients home including attic and basement.
- Responsible for ensuring safety standards in a client’s home are met by performing tasks such as rearranging furniture and removing unwanted items.
- Assist clients with organization and de-cluttering including packing and unpacking of heavy boxes.
- Responsible for assisting the heavy chore manager as needed.
- Responsible for performing duties that may require heavy lifting such as installation and removal of window A/C units.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be flexible, reliable, hard-working, and timely
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to follow-up on, and complete all tasks
- Ability to travel between multiple work locations/client homes
- Ability to transport heavy items such as multiple cleaning supplies, brooms, vacuums
- Ability to work under stressful work conditions and good problem-solving ability.
- Possess good multi-tasking ability with exceptional time management and organization skills.
Job Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Individual must have the ability to get to the assigned client location and transport required supplies needed to perform job duties.
- Must be able to read, translate, communicate and understand English
Working Conditions:
Includes, but not limited to:
- Frequent bending to care for clients.
- Ability to stand stationary for at least 30 minutes.
- Walking and ability to go up and down stairs within client’s home or as entrance/exit from client’s home.
- Be able to move or lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Physical motion may involve twisting, turning and arms overhead and use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
- Client’s safety may rely on you being able to speak, hear and smell

Pay: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour
