Job description
Duties include issuing building, electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits; reviewing plans for fences, signs, etc.; conferring with other departments in regard to plan review, permit issuance and utilities services; conducting research; maintaining related databases, records and files; and handling requests for information and complaints pertaining to permits, code / zoning and certificates of occupancy. Duties also include answering the phone and assisting with other general clerical tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of customer service experience are required; building methods blueprint reading experience beneficial. Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills preferred.
PAY GRADE GG10 / FULL PAY RANGE $16.99 - $23.95 PER HOUR
