The annual salary range for this role is $65,000-75,000 in New York.

People & Culture Coordinator
The World Economic Forum is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organized individual with a passion for Human Resources to join the People & Culture team in the New York office as a Coordinator. In this role, you’ll provide day to day operational support for general HR, onboarding/offboarding workstreams and recruiting.
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture for the Forum’s US offices, the person in this role works independently and with others to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and increase team efficiencies. This position offers diverse exposure to numerous HR disciplines such as compliance, benefits, employee experience and talent acquisition in a fast-paced environment, with the opportunity for further learning in the HR field.
This position is located at our Madison Avenue office in New York to support NY P&C team colleagues and staff. Our employees are some of the best and brightest people who work on
many initiatives
to make the world a better place. This position will also serve as backup to the San Francisco P&C Coordinator during peak periods and/or vacations. In addition, this position is part of a broader global P&C team with opportunities to learn from and participate in global P&C initiatives.
General HR Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the P&C team and staff such as answering benefit inquiries, completing mandated compliance and immigration tasks, tracking completion of trainings, maintaining employee file folders, etc.
  • Maintain our Human Capital Management systems, Workday and ADP Workforce Now, by ensuring the accurate input of employee data changes
  • Complete employment verifications; manage HR-related mail received in the office and respond to government/vendor correspondence
  • Co-manage the P&C US team mailbox and respond to inquiries or direct questions to the appropriate team members
  • Support management of vendor invoices and procurement process for the P&C US team
  • Ad-hoc projects, as required
Recruiting/Onboarding/Offboarding
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with scheduling interviews and recruitment coordination for NY candidates; conduct reference checks for new hires and prepare offer letters
  • Maintain requisition and other ad hoc reporting on various recruiting statistics via Workday
  • Act as point of contact for onboarding and offboarding in the NY office; liaise with Office Operations teams and managers to ensure smooth processes
  • Schedule new hire orientations, send welcome communications, and support new hires in completing requisite paperwork; maintain new hire presentations and reference materials
  • Check in with new hires monthly for initial 3 months of employment to ensure smooth onboarding and positive experience
  • Manage I-9 form completion and reverifications for NY staff
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience as HR Coordinator, Specialist, or Assistant. Exposure to and interest in Compliance or Benefits preferred. Exposure to other HR disciplines a plus
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable and efficient with a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a global, matrixed team while also being comfortable working autonomously as a self-starter and escalating issues when appropriate
  • Approachable, patient and empathetic with a demonstrated service mindset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and strong understanding of HCM/HRIS systems; Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and/or Workday strongly preferred.
  • Strong computer skills – Proficiency (intermediate level, at minimum) in Word and Excel required; proficiency in PowerPoint preferred.
