Job description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Pediatrician will work cooperatively with other allied health providers including the nurses, medical team assistants, counselors, social workers, psychologist, psychiatrist, pharmacists, nutritionist and laboratory technologist in providing comprehensive team health care.- Evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients with acute illness.
- Treatment, counseling, and referral for rehabilitation for maintenance of patients with chronic conditions.
- Coordination of specialty services for consultation and treatment.
- The Pediatrician is expected to participate in Continuing Professional Education programs to provide 50 CME credits every two years.
- Preventive care, consisting of periodic physical examinations, immunizations, health education and preventive screening.
- The Pediatrician will be required to participate in other Health Center related tasks as directed by the Medical Director. These may include, but not limited to, Quality Assurance, Patient Education in the Community, Completion of Survey, etc.
- The Pediatrician will follow the guidelines as provided in the Policy and Procedures Manual for Pediatric Medicine.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of an approved medical school.
2. M.D. Licensure in New York State.
3. Board certified or board eligible in pediatrics.
