Job Description:
The Pediatric Social Worker utilizes clinical expertise to perform psychosocial assessments, develop and implement plans of care appropriate care team, assess crisis situations to appropriately provide needed resources and or referrals for the patient, and to provide family and individual treatment as indicated. This position works collaboratively with patients, patient's significant other, families, healthcare providers, insurers, community resources, and all other involved parties.To show our commitment to you and to assist with your transition into our organization, we will also offer a $2500 sign on bonus to those that have 1+ year of experience.
Position Details:
50% of the clinicians time will be at a pediatrician office to provide mental health counseling to that population of patients as well as education to providers. The MHI locations are Alta View or Southridge.
Shifts for this role are Monday-Friday during regular business hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
- Current State Licensure as a LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT.
- Computer Skills, i.e., email, word processing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish Speaking.

Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.

Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.

Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).

May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
