Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist, Clinical
UT Health San Antonio, Department of Pediatrics, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine is recruiting a Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist at the level of Assistant Professor to join a group of nine academic pediatric hematologist/oncologists in the Division of Hematology- Oncology. Candidate will have completed an ACGME-approved fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology and be board certified or board eligible in pediatric hematology oncology. A vision for developing the use of innovative treatment modalities such as targeted therapies or immunotherapy is desirable as is evidence of significant accomplishment in scholarly activity.
The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology is a member of Children’s Oncology Group, the Pediatric Oncology Experimental Therapeutic Oncology Investigators Consortium (POETIC) and supports an active fellowship training program and a broad range of research and academic activities. We are also affiliated with the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute, one of the few free-standing research facilities dedicated to pediatric cancer research.
The successful candidate will be expected to care for children, adolescents, and young adults with hematologic and oncologic conditions, participate in the education of medical students and residents in the clinical setting, and pursue scholarly interests in the field of pediatric cancer.
