Job Description:
Cook Children's Health Care System has initiated a national search for a general Pediatric Anesthesiologist, and in addition a Pain Management specialist.
Opportunity to join a cohesive team of Pediatric Anesthesiologists and CRNA's supporting the Cook Children's Medical Center and surgery centers which offer a comprehensive program of specialized care for neonates, infants, and children.
The team on average provide over 27,000 anesthetics annually for 17 ORs in main surgical suites; 5 MRI scanners as well as other radiologic procedures including interventional radiology, nuclear medicine, CT scan, and MEG scan; two outpatient surgery centers; Special Procedure Area with 2 GI suites, a bronchoscopy suite, and an additional suite for neurology and hematology/oncology procedures.
The chronic pain clinic at Cook Children's is well established & experiencing rapid growth. Opportunity for a Pain Management specialist to partner with two fellowship trained pediatric pain physicians.
Cook Children's has added new surgeons to their growing surgical specialty teams in Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, and Orthopedics which has increased surgical volume in addition to a broader variety of case type and complexity.
Clinical research in your areas of interest is encouraged and supported through the CCMC IRB and grant writing office, but not required.
