Job description

• Immediate opening for personal care aide. Maintains knowledge of the general whereabouts of the residents for whom they have been assigned to care for. Assists with sponge, shower, tub baths, shampoos, manicures, dental hygiene, toileting and grooming as scheduled and as needed. Assists residents in and out of bed, with dressing and undressing, and with ambulating as needed. Responsible for referring visitors to the residents whereabouts or referring the questions to the resident care coordinator or charge person. Assists residents with meals noting intake and reporting as necessary any unusual consumption of meals. Assists residents with transport to and from the dining area and activities at their scheduled times along with any needed equipment. Responsible for serving nourishments as scheduled. Maintains resident’s rooms in a neat orderly manner which includes vacuuming and emptying wastebaskets (q shift), collecting and transporting dirty laundry and linens, and dispensing clean towels and washcloths. Responsible for reporting incidents and any change in the residents condition to the Case Manager or Charge Aide. Maintains routine information concerning patient and their care. Monitors emergency call system within the facility and responds in a timely fashion. Partakes in assisting the residents in evacuation and evacuation drills and responds to call bells and wander guards. Available shifts 7-3, 3-11 and 11pm-7am.
