Virtual Benefit Solutions | Virtual Hearing Solutions is seeking a ADP Payroll & Tax Specialist. In this position you will produce the payroll and act as the liaison for employees who have payroll-related inquires. In addition, this role will provide consultation to employees, managers, and others and as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce timely and accurate payroll processing activities.
  • Ensure quality controls in the payroll process including reconciliation and audit checks
  • Act as day-to-day liaison with designated contacts for payroll-related processing.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries and take appropriate action ensuring timely review and resolution of issues.
  • Work effectively employee and stakeholder issues.
  • Maintain and update payroll procedure documentation, as needed
  • Highlight and escalate relevant matters that may impact the running of payrolls.
  • Process and issue relevant tax forms for employees
  • Conduct timely and accurate processing of cyclical events including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
  • Adhere to payroll performance metrics
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and expertise of statutory legislation and ADP systems
  • Provide consultative advice, support and guidance to employees, managers, and stakeholders on payroll processes.
  • Exhibit strong, analytical and error resolution skills to analyze and resolve complex and routine payroll issues.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
  • Responsible for the administration of federal, state, local, employee and employer payroll taxes, including research, reconciliation, and preparation of tax returns in a timely and accurate manner, as well as the issuance of W2s.
  • Perform W2 audit review and research
  • Prepare and file amended payroll tax returns and supporting documents
  • Resolve various tax agency inquiries and notices in a timely fashion
  • File annually state and local W2s and annual reconciliations
  • E-file (paper file) unemployment returns and payments in various states
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of all payroll taxes and deposits for a multi-state organization.
  • Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 3-5 Years of payroll and tax work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience with ADP Payroll and Taxation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Ability to use ADP systems and processes payroll accurately and consistently
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills, written, listening and verbal
  • Payroll industry, process, and specific knowledge and expertise
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining deadlines
  • Customer Service Skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

  • Payroll Occupations: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Preferred)
  • ADP Payroll: 4 years (Preferred)
