Overview:

TVG-Medulla, LLC provides support and services to two comprehensive chiropractic care companies, Chiro One Wellness Centers and MyoCore Personalized Pain Care, both industry leaders in evidence-based, patient outcomes-centered care. As the largest privately-owned chiropractic organization in the country, Medulla provides management resources to these organizations with full-scale experienced teams of professionals and specialists including marketing, clinical operations, legal, revenue cycle, human resources, IT, maintenance and more.

Medulla, LLC is in search of an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the Company’s payroll as a member of our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for all elements of timely preparation and accurate processing of a multi-state payroll system. This includes new hire and separation processing, retroactive payments, leave of absence payments/management, compensation changes, bonuses, and deductions.

This position, reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a system and function as part of a collaborative team. A successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, provide excellent customer service to our employees, accurately process payroll, and administer the company’s total rewards programs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Manage the Payroll Process for the Company:
• Manage the payroll platform by processing semi-monthly and supplemental payrolls, including calculating payable hours, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
• Oversee non-exempt time tracking process and approvals.
• Reconcile and audit reports for financial reporting, 401(k) deductions, employee census reports, ACA, monthly benefit invoicing and annual 5500 and Workers Compensation and payroll audits and reconciliation.
• Coordinate COBRA communications, payments and maintain various reports.
• Report contributions for W-2 reporting.
• Prepare and settle annual 401(k) employee true-up payment, 5500 audit/filing, non-discrimination testing, annual reporting, assist with education sessions, and other tasks.
• Maintain records for repayment of benefits from employees on LOA, sign-on bonuses, and severance payments.
• Maintain updated employee salary data with the health insurance carrier for proper billing.
• Be the go-to person for all things related to the administration of pay.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years recent experience in payroll, including multi-state payroll compliance requirements for a full or self-insured employer
• Would like to have experience in the design and administration of health in a 350+ employee organization in multiple states
• Certified Payroll practitioner or working towards certification
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Bachelor’s degree
