As the Payroll and Payment Specialist, you will process payroll, ensuring verification timely as well as ensuring entries are made as appropriate. You will generate invoices for payments, as well as documentation and forms for processing. You will interface heavily with employees, helping them to get established in the System, answering a variety of payroll related questions.
You will be responsible for the Bank's procurement card program, including training new users and performing card holder reviews. You will report to the Payroll and Payments Manager.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process an automated payroll in an accurate, reliable, and timely manner. This includes reviewing and processing and verifying data entry, when necessary; sending appropriate paperwork to our consolidated processor in a timely manner; maintaining local processes such as running various reports and balancing payroll summaries/accounting entry worksheets, etc.
- Ensure all payments are expensed timely, including processing payments to local agencies (Sodexo, United Way, etc.).
- Coordinate the District's p-card program, including answering cardholder questions and providing training.
- Serve as local liaison to District employees for questions regarding Workday and payroll/timekeeper processes. Also serve as liaison to our consolidated payroll function, local wage assignment agencies, United Way, and Credit Union.
- Research and discuss with management payroll issues and suggest changes in operating procedures, as necessary. Also, keep abreast of changes that impact processes, annual withholding rates, etc.
- Participate in year-end payroll process which can include annual T&A manual revisions, timekeeper training, city tax refund, vacation and sick rollover process, etc.
- Ensure payroll procedures are updated as needed. Assist with requests from internal and external audit as needed.
- Perform receiving activities as needed.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent with courses in bookkeeping-accounting, computer data processing.
- 2 years of related work experience.
- All Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including receiving a COVID-19 booster when eligible, unless the Bank grants an accommodation based on a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.

Salary: $55,000-65,000
