BCA Financial Services Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist with exceptional oral and written communication skills. The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and timely accounting of incoming and outgoing consumer payments. This is an entry-level position.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position which also requires working a half day at least one Saturday per month. The department office hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm. This position is required to work onsite at our office located at 18001 Old Cutler Road, Miami, FL 33157. A work from home opportunity can be evaluated after 60-90 days of employment.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for posting a high volume of transactions (payments and adjustments) consistently, accurately and in accordance with company procedures to consumer accounts from various sources daily
• Balance accounts by running tapes, proofreading and verifying balances with client systems
• Prepare cash and checks for bank deposits and maintain accurate recording of deposits
• Prepare vouchers, invoices, memos, letters, checks, account activity statements, reports and other documents and records using word processing, spreadsheets, database and/or presentation software
• Maintain and update posting status, end of month, and other logs as needed
• Responsible for assuring daily files are received and processed
• Receive and count cash
• Reconcile and balance consumer accounts
• Prioritize workflows and assure deadlines are met
• Prepare client invoices and remittance statements
• Identify and communicate trends and concerns regarding assigned department processes
• Review and validate payment arrangements in the validation report
• May assist in training employees
• Comprehend and maneuver through numerous client systems
• Use discretion in handling confidential matters
• Assist with special projects as necessary and additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic accounting knowledge of credits and debits
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fully literate in Excel and Outlook
• Must be capable of prioritizing competing demands
• Strong working knowledge of the English language
• Ability to occasionally work a half day on Saturday's, once per month
