The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Patient Account Representative to join our Patient Billing Team located in the Lloyd district of NE Portland. Workdays will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Must have the ability to take direction and multi-task. Must have the capacity to retain training info and or organize the material to strive to work independently. We are searching for an experienced team player with excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with both external and internal customers in an effective, friendly, professional and timely way.
Requirements:
- Managing online payment services for patients, assisting with monitoring payment plans, and answering questions regarding patient accounts, forwarding calls to Financial Counselors when necessary.
- Following up on assigned aging accounts receivables and on returned mail for the billing department, including calling patients and/or doctor’s offices to obtain new billing information.
- Performing data entry and miscellaneous clerical tasks, and covering for the Receptionist as needed.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong customer service, analytical, organizational and time managements skills and the ability to multi-task. Starting pay range, based on experience: $20.33 - $27.51 per hour.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Requirements:
- Prefer Centricity knowledge, great customer service, knowledge in medical billing, & experience with large patient call volume.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, & experience with insurance Companies in a work setting.
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare, healthcare insurance or managed care setting
- Experience in a medical billing/collection position and with MS Word preferred
- Excellent customer services skills, including having exceptional patience skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize duties with little supervision and interact effectively and courteously with patients, physicians, providers, payers, and co-workers
