Patient Access Representative - Emergency Department and Women’s Center

Summary:
The Patient Access Representative is responsible in ensuring that patient access processing is performed in accordance with procedure and documented in a timely and accurate manner. This performance must meet the departmental/organizational driven outcome targets to continue the revenue flow cycle of clean claims and point of service cash collections.
Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous Registration and/or Insurance Verification is preferred
- Must complete EPIC Cadence and Prelude training & must pass exam upon completion of training
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Customer-service oriented and proficient in written & oral communications. Modeling the Carolina Care behaviors in every interaction while providing exceptional service to our patients
- Familiarity with medical terminology and a clinical setting
- Incumbent will be required to work during the week and available every other weekend/as needed, three (3) out of six (6) holidays as needed, and rotating scheduling/shifts based on department staffing needs

Schedule: Full Time, Rotating, 7a-7p and 7p-7a
