Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, is seeking a Patent Associate or Patent Agent to be resident in the Boston office and support strategic counseling for healthcare IT, digital health, life sciences AI, computational biology, and more, for healthtech and biopharma companies. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building strategic IP portfolios for innovative companies that value intellectual property, be admitted to the patent bar, and have at least 2 - 4 years of experience with all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution and counseling related to software technologies, particularly in the medical or life sciences context. Prior firm experience is required.

Candidates must have a technical background in computer science, data science, computer engineering, or equivalent discipline. Experience in preparation and prosecution of patent applications related to digital health, medical devices, or life sciences is a plus.

Candidates must have: a record of learning new technologies, a creative and strategic approach to IP counseling, a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service, an excellent academic record, and superior organizational and communication skills (written and oral).
