Parts Finisher

Job Summary

The Parts Finisher works as a member of a team to assist in the 3D printing process of specialized parts in accordance with customer specification. The Parts Finisher will work with industry standard tools like hex wrenches, screw drivers, scrapers, razor blades, air ratchets, and digital calipers.

Specific Responsibilities

• Finishing 3-D printed parts and cast urethanes to customer specifications to include, but not limited to:
• Sanding
• Scraping
• Polishing
• Measuring for accuracy
• Painting
• Work as part of a team and individually.
• Document quantities being shipped on packing slips using MS Word.
• Package printed parts for shipping.
• Use a computer to review digital CAD models.
• Read and interpret a 3-D CAD model drawing.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• Use of digital calipers (on the job training provided for this equipment).
• Able to use of a computer and the MS Office suite of software.
• Able to learn new software applications.
• Artistic experience desired not required to include, but not limited to: sculpting, carving, painting, wood working, auto body.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Lift 25 pounds regularly, 40 pounds occasionally.
• Good hand eye coordination.
• Perform detail-oriented tasks with hands.
• Manufacturing setting
• Workshop area that can be dusty
• Will use adhesives, cyanoacrylates (super glue), epoxies, paints, primers, bondo/filler putty
