Montessori Children's House of North Barrington is seeking a Teacher Assistant for our community. We are looking to hire an individual who enjoys working with young children in a warm, caring environment.

Our Montessori preschool and toddler classrooms operate year round, and our school is open currently from 8:15 am - 4:15 pm.

We are seeking a candidate for the hours of 11:00 am - 4:30 pm five days per week to serve as an assistant to a Montessori credentialed teacher to start as soon as possible. We also are interested in applicants for a substitute teacher who would typically expect 1-3 days of work per week as an assistant in one of our classrooms.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Course work in Early Childhood education preferred
• Previous Montessori and/or other related experience preferred
• Commitment to learning about Montessori philosophy and education
• Commitment to continued professional development
• Ability to collaborate with a dynamic teaching team

Successful background check and fingerprinting are required as conditions for employment. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications within Montessori and DCFS licensing standards.
