Job description

We are seeking caring people for this rewarding part-time position, providing respite services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities on site at our Pecora Center in Kingston.

Site-based respite is designed to provide teens and adults with leisure time as well as recreational and educational activities, while giving parents and caregivers opportunities to meet their own needs.

The Respite Provider is responsible to provide individualized, person-centered, education and skill instruction and support to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their own home or a site based setting, and to provide individualized supports to ensure every person served is able to achieve a meaningful, satisfying quality of life.

The Respite Provider must be able to work with people with a variety of diagnoses and abilities who may have behavioral and/or health challenges.

HOURS: 25/Monday through Friday - 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Job Requirements:

• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to meet Essential Minimum Physical Demand Job Requirements with or without reasonable accommodation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;
• Experience with persons (adults and children) with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities strongly preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.15 - $15.57 per hour
