We are growing - and with that growth we have a new exciting opportunity as a Part-Time Heavy Equipment Operator at our Dunphy, Nevada location.
- Do you like to be detailed, organized and accurate? This role will require your attention to detail in managing grinding ball media inventory coming in and out of the yard. The right individual will also work with local vendors for onsite consumables and schedule maintenance for our equipment.
- Do you enjoy creating a "Wow" customer service experience? We are looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, and who can provide exceptional customer service to the Nevada Gold Mines, our vendors, and co-workers - even during stressful and high-pressure situations.
- Do you have that keen sense to improve processes? As this is a new role, we are looking for someone who can take on a process or procedure and make it better or more efficient.
- Do you like operating big equipment? A big part of this position will be operating a material handler equipped with a 58" magnet to unload inbound railcars and trucks delivering grinding media. That grinding media will then be loaded onto outbound trucks to be delivered to the gold mines.
- Do you have a class A CDL? Ideally, we would like someone that has a Class A CDL with some experience delivering with end dump trailers, but not necessary. This is so you can backup our drivers when needed.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Create shipping BOL's for deliveries.
- Help coordinate daily deliveries with Nevada Gold Mines and our Drivers.
- Monitor and manage inventory of multiple sizes of grinding media.
- Communicate with our Salt Lake team on a daily basis.
- Manage material receivers and shipping documents ensuring accuracy and noting any discrepancies with back up photos/details.
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager as you grow in this position.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Trucking/Transportation background helpful!
- Inventory management experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effective communication both written and verbal.
- Must have previous work experience operating heavy equipment.
- Valid and active Class A CDL preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb in and out of heavy equipment.
- Must be able to lift approximately 30-50 pounds occasionally.
- Will be bending, squatting, walking, and using hands to operate equipment, unload bags of grinding media, and help maintain cleanliness and order in the yard.
Schedule:
- Part-time hours with flexible working schedule.
- Approximately 5 hour days, 5 days per week.
