Job description

• Performs 50 hour, 100 hour, annual and progressive inspections, maintenance and repairs of aircraft (scheduled maintenance).
• Research and comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives and regulatory requirements.
• Determine time life limits for aircraft components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and discrepancies (un-scheduled maintenance). Including correcting discrepancies, troubleshoot and repair inoperative schematics and troubleshooting procedures, and determine correct manufacturer part numbers for replacement of parts.
• Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and all UND Aerospace standard operating procedures.
• Reviews work orders, aircraft records and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Perform minor and major alternations and repairs as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Criteria:

Minimum Requirements:

• Thorough working knowledge of all federal regulations pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
• Work with staff of full and part-time aircraft technicians to provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the FAR’s and to meet the high demands of the flight training department.
• Ability to maintain good working relationship with customers, co-workers and FAA agencies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Drug and alcohol testing as required by UND Aerospace Anti-Drug Program.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move and lift bulky or heavy objects up to 75 lbs.

Desired Requirements:

• Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
• Meet the currency requirements of FAR Part 65.83.
• Prefer at least 2 years technical experience.
• Prefer Cessna single and Piper multiengine experience.

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour
