Want to share what you’ve learned about parenting? We have a new program helping Latino/a/x youths with substance abuse issues. This position will help youth and their families in the recovery process.

Salary: $21.00/hr

Primary Responsibilities

  • The average caseload for this position is 15 to 20 families (approximately 30 service hours).
  • Working in conjunction with the CADC counselors, assist with case management as well as identifying the participant’s strengths in order to facilitate recovery.
  • Provide participants with culturally appropriate parental education in Spanish.
  • In conjunction with the CADC, identify participant goals and assist them in achieving those goals.
  • Complete timely and accurate billings and submit on a weekly basis.
  • Provide participants with appropriate referrals for services and activities.
  • Create and maintain a robust and relevant referral network.
  • Share mental and physical health resources and education with community members.
  • Participate in the on-going development of the project and in planning for follow-up projects.


Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual/bicultural English and Spanish is required.
  • Hold a current Certified Recovery Mentor or Peer Support certification through MHACBO or be willing and able to obtain and maintain either of these certifications.
  • Prior experience working with youth and families is preferred but not required.
  • Experience facilitating groups and participating on committees is preferred.
