Ward and Smith, P.A. is a growing full-service law firm with multiple offices throughout North Carolina. We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal with strong title examination skills to join either our New Bern or our Wilmington office.
Applicants should be driven, multi-task oriented, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the Firm in commercial real estate client matters; creating, proofing, editing and revising correspondence and legal documents; closing transactions; conducting title examinations; recording and filing necessary instruments; maintaining files; monitoring the progress of open real estate matters; and, following up to ensure all required actions are completed in a timely manner.
Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree or a combination of an Associate Degree from an approved Paralegal Technology Program through the American Bar Association and three years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal, title examiner, or similar position. Commensurate relevant work experience may substitute for education.
We offer a generous $2500 sign-on/retention bonus for our Paralegals.
