Professional Property Management (PPM), Inc., a corporation owning and managing apartment complexes in multiple locations in the Greater Des Moines area is looking for an experienced Painter at our Sun Prairie location in West Des Moines!

Summary of Position

In the Painter role, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and staining a variety of surfaces in and on occupied and vacant apartments and buildings in a safe and timely manner to ensure the aesthetic and operating excellence of the property by:

Maintaining regular and reliable attendance

Managing an organized scheduling and tracking system to complete all painting projects in a safe and timely manner

Installing or repairing sheetrock

Calculating amounts of required materials

Selecting and purchasing tools and/or finishes for surface to be covered

Completing other duties and/or special projects as assigned

The qualified applicant will need to be able to, with or without accommodation*:

Communicate via and function in Outlook

Complete basic math functions

Read, analyze, and interpret printed materials

Climb stairs

Lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Hours of work will be 8:00AM-5:00PM Monday through Friday with rotating on-call responsibilities.

Additional hours may be required.

Requirements

· Valid Iowa driver’s license and a clean driving record

· Must have a fully insured, reliable vehicle

· Must be able to pass a thorough background check

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
