Bulger Veterinary Hospital, located in Lawrence, Ma is looking for a full-time Pack Room Attendant to join the team. This is an entry level position and a great opportunity to join our team of caring and compassionate professionals. We offer benefits starting on your first day!
The Pack Room Attendant is responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, set-up and break-down of all surgical instruments, equipment, and operating rooms. This position is vital in maintaining sterile conditions for all surgeries performed within our specialty hospital.
As an important player within our hospital environment we are looking for someone to embody our culture in treating every client with the utmost courteous and attentive treatment possible, with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets.
Responsibilities:
- Prep surgical suites for upcoming surgeries
- Clean surgical suites daily and after surgical procedures
- Clean surgical instruments
- Prepare surgical packs for sterilization
- Properly set up and run sterilization equipment (gas, plasma and steam)
- Proper stocking of surgical suites including pack area
Qualifications:
- A strong desire to learn and apply knowledge/skills learned to daily work life
- Must be self motivated and have the ability to work independently in a fast pace environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are requiredPack
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn our hospital information system
- Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodation
- High School Diploma and 1 or more years of related job experience
