Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares orders for shipment by packaging to customer specification and requirements indicated on the order ticket using correct ship method codes.
• Follows directions and reads order tickets.
• Ensures proper removal of stock from inventory.
• Knows and understands order priority codes.
• Safely operates moving Inventory, Roto-Sealers, and L-Sealers.
• Properly uses and maintains company equipment such as computer, scan guns, and electronic scales.

• Follows company standards as set by the department manager.

• Properly use and maintain Pak Rapid and Autobagger machines including changing Kraft paper rolls, Poly bag rolls, and Printer ribbons.
• Keeps machines free and clear of debris and unnecessary clutter.

• Learns F.O.B. codes and payment terms.
• Becomes familiar with multiple shipping carrier systems.
• Ships customer orders using the proper carrier and method to the correct destination.
• Completes all paperwork associated with shipping in the correct manner.

Education / Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent required with three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer and/or Keyboarding skills helpful.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
