Job description

We are looking to hire a part-time Sterilization Tech for our highly reputable, busy Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice. An ideal candidate will have experience in sterilization or in dental/medical assisting. Experience in oral surgery is a plus, but will do on-the-job training. This individual will work Thursday, Friday and every other Monday in our Akron location; Tuesday and Wednesday in our Canton location. The hours are 8:00am - 1:00pm. Looking for someone who is dependable, able to take initiative and hustle. Incredible attention to detail and safety is a must! You should be able to follow instructions, react quickly, respect dental office regulations and work as a team.

Responsibilities

• Disinfect operatory following procedures
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations

• Put away supply orders and stock rooms
• Laundry
• Equipment maintenance and testing
• Filing and pulling charts
• General cleaning of the clinical area
• Assist the clinical staff and manager as needed

Skills

• Proven experience as a scrub tech or dental/medical/sterilization experience is a PLUS
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, materials and IV supplies
• Computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Follow strict safety protocols
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and problem-solve
• High school diploma; graduation from dental assisting program or experience in the dental or surgical field
• Hepatitis B and TB vaccinations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
