Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an Oracle Analytics Architect with experience in the Financial Services and Banking industry.
Job Overview:
This role is considered part of the Business Unit Senior Leadership team and may mentor delivery team members.
- Interface with financial bank business users about financial services related operational and regulatory reporting and data requirements.
- Lead requirements gathering, design, development, testing and rollout of data warehouse and analytics solutions.
- Setup Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) for ERP and configure data model extensions to include custom Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) facts and dimensions and custom reporting Subject Areas for data sourced from outside Oracle Fusion ERP.
- Manage development team deliverables related to Oracle Analytics and ETL processes.
- Design all aspects of data modeling to address business analytics requirements. This includes designs of star schemas, staging tables, data lineage, hierarchies, historical analysis with snapshotting, slowly changing dimensions, aggregates, and incremental data load strategies.
- Perform analysis of business requirements, analyze data sources, and perform data mapping between multiple source systems and a target data warehouse.
- Familiarity with ETL processes on Oracle Data Integrator or a similar platform.
- Play a lead role in testing and resolution of issues related to various analytics components including functionality, reliability, performance, and data accuracy.
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience levels.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience with Oracle BI (any of the following platforms: OBIEE/OAS/OAC/OBIA/FAW).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the financial services industry and bank related data warehouse solutions.
- Banking/Financial Services and Regulatory reporting experience is required.
- Deep expertise with OBIEE/OAS/OAC administration, security configuration, data model creation, and dashboard development.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse for ERP including configuration with OCI and Oracle Cloud ERP, and extensibility with external data sources.
- Deep experience with data modeling and data lineage design
- Experience with ETL design concepts, maintenance, and load plan management.
- Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills. Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
- Strongly skilled in SQL querying.
- Self-starter who can work independently.
- Ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
- Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
- Experience working on multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be independent and self-driven.
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Accounting or comparable major.
- Must be open to travel.
Preferred skills and education:
- Master's Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field is preferrable.
- Leadership and team management experience with ability to provide strategic planning and oversight
- Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate customers on the latest technology trends and best practices
- Track record of leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
- Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams
