Texas State Optical Jefferson City is seeking to hire an experienced Optometric Assistant. If you are a self motivated person looking to have a key roll in an optometry practice, this could be the ideal position you have been searching for.

This position requires assisting the optometrist in creating an exceptional eye health exam. Your role will be to perform pretesting procedures, including auto refraction, tonometry, visual acuity and documenting the patient's case history.

You will also perform more advanced testing including OCT, Pachimetry and Visual Field.

Contact Lens dispensing, new patient training, insertion and removal and processing orders duties will be required.

This permanent fulltime position offers a competitive wage and benefit package,

including paid vacation, paid Holidays and PTO.

The office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so you have weekend off.

Office hours are Monday thru Friday 8:45 to 5:30.

Job Requirements Include: Excellent people skills. Computer Literate.
