Our Operations Specialist position is responsible for communicating and coordinating between all departments and locations to facilitate the timely and accurate posting of all customer transactions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily office responsibilities, working with Customer Service staff to maintain the efficient operations of all bank branches.
- Knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and bank regulations in order to perform the necessary duties.
- Perform operational procedures including all back office customer troubleshooting.
- Resolve processing problems and remain proficient on Proof Imagining System.
- Accept remote deposit and ACH files for processing.
- Process incoming and outgoing wires.
- Perform detailed research and adjustment functions of customer electronic transactions - both ACH and POS (Reg E).
- Verify accuracy of file posting through Precision Service Center.
- Balance General Ledger daily validating over bank, cash and all modules DDA, CDA and LNA are in balance.
- Perform file maintenance on existing and new deposit accounts.
- Generate and mail loan, CD, overdraft and other notices to customers.
- Print and mail CD interest checks and Christmas Club checks.
- Process return items and index overdraft letters and notices in Director.
- Review and index GL tickets after adding reference reason to Precision.
- Complete debit card limit increases, travel notifications, disputes and adjustments.
- Submit branch cash orders and any special foreign currency orders as needed.
- Process foreign checks received by customer service.
- Efficient in both consumer and business online and mobile banking and customer troubleshooting for these products.
- Reconcile internal bank accounts and correspondent bank accounts
- Review reports including card metrics report, director reports, cash books, merchant capture totals, IB enrollment report, CD & IRA accounts over $100,000, business advantage accounts and other reports as needed.
- Assist with customer calls as needed.
- Assist in preparing presentations, analysis, spreadsheets and graphs as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALITIES:
- Knowledge of Fiserv systems and Precision Core preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and banking processes.
- Team player with the ability to work with a team of talented and diverse coworkers.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to manage personal composure when confronted with difficult situations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand and complex situations in person, on the phone and by email.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative to utilize independent judgement in decision making and problem solving.
- Strong numeric and grammatical aptitude.
- General knowledge of all Microsoft Office products used by bank including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Two years of bank operations experience required.
- Five years of banking experience preferred.
