JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Operations Project Manager will work closely with the Sr. Vice President of Bank Operations to identify the support needs of the Operations areas. The Ops Project Manager will be responsible for making recommendations on how to best facilitate the strategic operational goals of the organization including systems and products. This position will assist with all system conversions and implementations, workflow development between operations and the frontline staff, and other special projects.
- Communicate effectively across all levels and departments the operational goals and objectives of the Operations area.
- Collaborate with the SVP Bank Ops in overseeing implementation of the Strategic Plan, tracking deadlines, metrics and other deliverables as appropriate.
- Coordinate system and product implementations throughout the organization to include defining team members, assigning & tracking follow-up items, and assisting with the development of procedures and risk assessments.
- Analyze data and create reporting to assist management with determining where process improvements are needed.
- Identify and develop Workflows and system improvements to increase efficiencies and resolve issues.
- Gain a deep understanding of the various FIS products and services by reviewing bulletins, contracts, invoices and attending product webinars.
- Assist SVP Bank Ops with risk mitigation efforts and projects to protect the Bank against operational, strategic, reputational, credit, and compliance risks. Ensures internal controls are in place across department.
- Work closely with Operations Leadership in developing detailed SOPs for all processes and procedures.
- Contribute to the annual Vendor review process.
- Track high priority initiatives and identify any obstacles, communicate initiative status, collaborate with others as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4 year college degree or related work experience
- 3 years professional office experience
- Previous training experience preferred
- Previous financial services or banking industry expertise
- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail required
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when needed
- Team-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization
- Service-oriented, polite, and respectful
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion
HOURS:
Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
