Essential Job Functions:
This will be a full-time position. You will be expected to travel between 15 to 20 weeks per year. The remaining weeks will be spent working remotely. Your general responsibilities, under the supervision of the Operations Production Manager, will include:
- Ability to travel for staging, rehearsals, opening night, and special events.
- Highly organized and efficient. Time management skills are key.
- A quick thinking problem-solver with the ability to find strategic solutions, during time constraints and at times a high-pressured environment.
- Preserve the on-going; long-term “opening night” quality, the designer’s vision, and the artistic integrity of the production
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times, by adhering to all established safety policies and procedures, company policies, and participate in all required safety classes.
Job specific requirements:
- Assist with and support the management projects budget P&L’s , and provide development of outcomes and assist with forecasting.
- Provide guidance, manage and support the Fever Experience stage managers.
- Maintain and establish an atmosphere of empathy, compassion, and inclusiveness in leadership Coordinate and Manage operation calendar for experience projects .
- Provide support as a Fly-in position between shows transfer to supervise production activities with associate PSM.
- Guide and manage show reports structure and daily review. Follow up and provide coordination.
- Collaborate with creative and production for the maintenance of the Show Bible and show documentation. Update the SM handbook and what if document as needed.
- Coordinate communication between production and operation regarding artistic changes and any technical changes with the operating technical team.
- Coordinates the dissemination of show specific information.
- Participate in the coordination of the transfer between cities regarding pre-production, scheduling, external resources and on site PSM.
- Establish, standardize and update all operations paperwork and procedures related to Show call management and show notes.
- Collaborate with production department heads and attend production meetings.
- In collaboration with the AD, supervise the maintenance of the artistic integrity of the experience.
- Responsible for leadership of training new SM and PSM.
- Identify impediments and make recommendations regarding the best local resources to address those obstacles.
- To assist the team in ensuring best practices are used in a collaborative manner, in order to protect, maintain and extend the life of company touring assets.
- Supports the on-stage safety program including, but not limited to, state and federally mandated safety programs and risk assessments.
- Performs other related work as required, within workload limitations.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Degree in theatrical production is preferred; 10 years of experience managing large scale events or shows. Immersive theatrical experience and touring experience.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and ethical work culture.
- Expert organization and planning skills.
- Strong understanding of all aspect of the production: artistic, technical and tour management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment and initiative, while focusing on teamwork.
- Ability to determine priorities as well as manage multiple, competing priorities successfully.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Able to sit at a computer and/or production desk for over eight hours per day; see clearly in low-light situations such as are common backstage and in the theater; and walk on complex stage settings to function during the construction, rehearsal, and safe operations of productions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- 10-hour OSHA course completion card a plus.
- Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Must have working knowledge of Google platform.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in North America, UK, EU, and South America.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Verification of the right to work in the United States, as demonstrated by completion of the Form I-9 upon hire and the submission of acceptable documentation (as noted on the Form I-9) verifying one’s identity and work authorization.
