Overview:
First National Bank of America is looking for a candidate to open accounts online. The ideal candidate will be able to combine accuracy and follow-through with excellent customer service skills. Candidates should be able to manage a dynamic workload while operating in a fast-paced environment.

Location:
On-Site at our Traverse City, MI Branch
  • This position is not remote
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for new deposit accounts generated from online marketing
  • Assist customers as they open new accounts using First National Bank of America’s account opening platform.
  • Answer customer emails and phone calls.
  • Obtain customer signatures on necessary documents and forms.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and follow all bank procedures.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Performance Expectations
  • Respond to all incoming calls and emails from customers within 4 hours.
  • Interface with the account opening platform to open new accounts daily.
  • Help customers open Certificate of Deposit Accounts and High Yield Savings Accounts directly.
  • Accurately book new accounts in Jack Henry 20/20 core.
  • Keep online account opening procedures up-to-date.
  • Look for opportunities to improve the process.
  • Support and contribute to the annual goals of the Bank
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Qualified candidates will be detail oriented with skills in record maintenance.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Detailed knowledge of deposit account opening regulations.
  • Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
  • Requires effective communication with customers and/or other employees using common telecommunications equipment and computer equipment. Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents. May require the ability to sit, stand, for extended periods.
  • Position will often be in a busy office environment. The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential.
