Teachers On Call, a Kelly® Education Company, (TOC) is a substitute staffing service that hires licensed teachers, paraprofessionals, and early child care staff. We partner with schools and centers in the Midwest and Northwest to fulfill their needs for short-term, long-term, and permanent substitutes.
We are growing rapidly and looking to add an Onboarding Specialist to our team and want to connect with you!
The Onboarding Specialist is a candidate liaison for onboarding newly hired and reactivated talent. This is achieved through the execution of Kelly Education’s onboarding strategies, identifying process improvements, and ensuring consistent service levels. They are responsible for delivering a positive talent experience while ensuring the onboarding process is completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties:
75% Onboarding
- Serve as the main point of contact for all new and rehired talent
- Facilitates the onboarding process by finalizing employment application, assessment results, tax forms, I-9, licensing/certifications, fingerprinting, background screens, medical screens and any additional state or district specific forms and new hire orientation
- Meet or exceed weekly/monthly activity metrics and desired outcomes
- Engages with Implementation Manager when transitioning current substitute teacher pools
- Handle onboarding process via email, phone, and web-based tools
- Process, audit and file/upload all talent records
- Detail all onboarding activity in front office systems and onboarding tracker
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of all state and district specific licensing, background and other applicable laws and regulations to maintain compliance during onboarding process
- Maintain a broad knowledge of company policies and benefit plans
- Work collaboratively with recruiting and other service teams as needed to ensure onboarding strategies result in client & talent happiness
- Participate in activities crafted to improve the onboarding process
- Collect, analyze, and maintain data gathered to provide to leadership
- Facilitates a “hand-off” and introduction of the talent to the Talent Care team
25% Customer Service
- Field incoming calls and emails
- Manage Team Mailbox as assigned
- Contact and respond to talent as needed to complete the onboarding process
- Service as the main point of contact for talent and internal employee questions and concerns during the onboarding process
- Resolve issues
- Solicit feedback to improve service
- Establish rapport with talent by ensuring the overall experience is a positive one
