Job Summary: The On-Site Staffing Specialist serves as the main point of contact for employees regarding all employment related matters at assigned site(s). It will be essential that the Staffing Specialist supports and integrates Sizemore’s core values of Flexibility, Improvement, Reliability, Safety and Teamwork into the daily performance of assigned responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Works with appropriate departments (HR, payroll, recruiting, etc.) to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees.
  • Reviews and maintains employees’ hours for payroll processing.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, payroll, etc; refers more complex questions to appropriate Senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Provides/Coordinates new employees with applicable company/site orientation, safety instruction and job specific training.
  • Tracks the training requirements for employees.
  • Submits employee status changes.
  • Interprets human resource policies for staff, seeking guidance from HR when needed.
  • Ensures that new hires are greeted on the first day of employment/conducts first day check.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to manage headcount.
  • Stays current on the company’s organization structure and personnel policies.
  • Conducts and tracks exit interviews.
  • Monitors employees’ activities such as attendance and performance.
  • Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required.
  • Maintains time and attendance records and recommends appropriate action.
  • Participates with recruiting and interviewing activities as needed.
  • Identify process improvements.
  • Drives a culture of constant improvement, identifying and implementing changes to increase productivity and efficiency of service.
  • Enforce Sizemore's policies and procedures as needed.
  • Additional duties assigned, as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree Required. Two (2) years of experience may be substituted for degree.
  • Minimum of one (1) year staffing/recruiting/human resource experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
  • Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy when dealing with any person no matter the circumstances.
  • Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating a reacting to situations.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in potential stressful and time sensitive situations.
  • Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions:

  • Majority of work will be performed in a climate-controlled building.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking and standing.
  • Lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Travel to various locations
