St. Dominic Child Care, in affiliation with St. Dominic Church within the Archdiocese of Hartford (AOH), opened in October 2016. We are a licensed childcare center with spots for 88 children for ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.

Immediate Positions Available:

Job Summary:

Saint Dominic Child Care is looking for nurturing and dedicated individuals to join our team. All classrooms' staff 4 teachers (2 AM and 2 PM). Candidates must be able to provide a loving, supportive, safe, and educational learning environment to young children.

On-call/Subs provide the director with their availability for the upcoming week. Individuals are then put on the weekly schedule with that availability. Staff will call those available if they are sick and unable to come in. On-call/Subs will fill in for staff needing time off, or if the Director needs to fill a spot for the day.

Responsibilities:

*Engage with, nurture, and provide care to each child

*Supervise and provide and effective learning environment

*Communicate daily with the families (in person and through the center app)

*Manage the center’s app throughout the day on classroom iPad

*Work with the classroom team to create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum

*Maintain a clean and organized classroom

Requirements:

*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

*Experience working with children is a plus

*Education in Early Childhood is a plus

*CPR/First Aid/Med/Epi-Pen Certified is a plus

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
