NTI currently has an opening for an Office Support Specialist to join our team. We’re seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in accounting or finance. This role will assist the VP in all phases of finance and accounting activities. The right candidate will be able to work independently when provided with proper training and guidance, have a team first mindset, work with a high level of integrity and be open to continuous learning. How You'll Contribute:
- Perform all basic accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, month end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, manage prepaid expenses and fixed assets; prepare supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
- Issue checks, prepare and record deposits, reconcile bank accounts and cash books with the General Ledger
- Process invoices in a timely manner to avoid vendor holds and past due payments
- Work with Accounts Receivable on confirmed receipts as well as the monthly cutoff review
- Maintain various accounting schedules
- Reviews and evaluates data and information from multiple sources
- Confirms completeness of received data/information and resolves inconsistencies. Accurately enters required data into one or more databases, documents, or spreadsheets.
- Manages validation and verification of data; reconciles data between systems
- Manages requests for additional information as needed
- Selects relevant information from a variety of sources in order to prepare documents, reports, summaries, and replies to inquiries, ensuring accuracy and proper format of the information provided.
- Manipulates, transfers, computes and prints information.
- Provides accurate and timely status updates
- Manage, track, process and maintain incoming documents
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures as necessary
- Operates and maintains spreadsheets and databases regularly

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
