Alaska Tales Whale Watching is looking for an exceptional individual to assist in the management of our day to day office operations. The ideal candidate will have multiple years experience in the tourism industry or related field, experience managing people and all related HR responsibilities, some accounting experience, and a strong desire to work in a highly team oriented environment.

Job Duties:

- Facilitating company payroll

- Invoicing vendors

- Voucher reconciliation in Fareharbor

- Accounts receivable/payable

- Assist Locating missing vouchers

- Entering daily sales into fare harbor

- Coding credit card transactions with Accounting

- Paying Alaska Tales bills/invoices related to operations

- Coordinating/paying sales tax

Staffing/Employee

- Facilitating hiring paper work for all staff including, but not limited to W-4, I9, applications, contracts, and related documents.

- HR duties related to staff including incident reporting

- Assisting employees securing housing. This would include looking for possible rentals, property inspections, ensuring timely payment of rent, payment and collection of deposits, and other related duties.

- Assigning and checking in/out uniforms for all employees.

- Planning, coordinating, and Interviewing possible staff

- Posting job ads for hiring

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Filing/Organizing

- Party Planning

- Checking mail at PO BOX/mailing company payments/documents

- Attending Alaska Tales related meetings including, but not limited to Harbor Board,
CBJ, assembly, Whale Sense, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Juneau, AK 99801: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
