Patient Care Manager- off shift, nights

BronxCare is seeking qualified Registered Nurses who can provide and integrates clinical leadership and management of the Departments of Nursing, on the night shift, consistent with the philosophy and goals of the institution.

Develops and sustains an environment of excellence in patient / family service, growth and development of staff, and application of evidenced-based practice.

Responsibilities: Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assess patient care requirements on each unit, by making rounds in all patient care units. Develop and implement staffing plan for shift based on patient acuity, patient census and available staff. Serve as a resource to staff for solving clinical problems. Assist staff to efficiently utilize staffing resources to meet patient care requirements and other professional responsibilities. Respond to emergency situations and assists as necessary. Act as a resource in identifying and/or solving administrative/operational problems. Work collaboratively with nursing and ancillary staff to solve problems in a fair, consistent manner.

Requirements

New York State Registered Nurse License Registered Nurse Registration

College Degree-B.S.N required

MSN-perferred

BLS from American Heart Association

Minimum of three years of recent acute care RN experience

Leadership experience preferred

Progressive leadership; demonstrated in a leadership position or demonstrates the potential for leadership competency; demonstrates ability to develop, guide, motivate, nurture, and coach others. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. Membership in pertinent professional organizations.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
