The Qatar Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) customer is seeking a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support the Qatar Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) systems for five (5) years. The position will need a background in System Administration, Hardware Maintenance and Operator software understanding. The FSE will provide Technical, Obsolescence and Operational Advice, Product Improvement Data and Documentation briefings, generate SPR, conduct OJT for Ops and Maintenance, attend PMRs twice a year (Fullerton and Qatar) and submit monthly reports, and administer policies concerning system authorization, system security, system readiness, problem resolution activities, Command View™ software and communication configuration deployment, resolution of COTS software issues, and software update verification. System Administration is performed both locally (site-level) by AOC administrators and centrally (system-wide) by administrators at the SSU using a variety of Command View™ and COTS processes and products. Administrators at the SSU ensure a consistent configuration across the entire system. This role will be on site in Qatar where the employee will be under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

The System Admin will also be responsible for interfacing with the Program office and engineering teams in Fullerton, CA with regard to progress, issues and potential resolution. The Admin will also provide assistance, support, and work with the Saudi Government Authority and Raytheon Engineering concerning system authorization, system readiness, problem resolution activities, resolution of COTS software issues, and software update verification and distribution.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Expertise as a system administrator on Windows, deploying and supporting mission critical systems

Experience in administering Group Policies, Directory Services, and Distributed File Systems.

Expertise in administration of Microsoft Office products including Exchange and Lync Server.

Expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6 and above)

Expertise with security administration tools including McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, McAfee VirusScan, and RSA.

Experience in the configuration and integration of COTS products into existing systems.

Expertise in scripting languages such as Powershell, C, Python, and Perl.

Expertise with virtualization tools such as VMWare or VirtualBox and deploying virtual machines.

Expertise in computer networking (including protocols, multicasting, SNMP) and Cisco routers.

Expertise with Symantec (Veritas) NetBackup.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Microsoft certification, i.e., Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).

Cybersecurity certification, i.e., CISSP, CISA, Security+.

Experience with SAP Business products.

Experience in Red Hat JBoss Server administration.

Experience in Oracle database administration.

Experience working in a team-focused development environment, such as Agile/SCRUM.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to produce technical documentation.

Ability to communicate in Arabic.

Required Education (including Major):

Bachelors Degree in STEM field, or 8 years of relevant experience on C2/C4I platform.

Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project

management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires:

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Engineering/Other Technical Positions:

Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
